SATS

What are SATS?

They are Standard Assessment Tests; which are taken for KS1 by year 2 students, which are less formal and for KS2 by year 6 students which are formal and last over 4 to 5 days.

Some schools also test year 3, 4 and 5 students with Optional SATS.

SATS help monitor your child’s progress over the years at Primary School.

The more formal SATS, in year 6, can be daunting for many, hence students and parents begin preparing at an early stage, ensuring when the time comes, they are knowledgeable in all areas and are ready to be tested.
